Nagesh Kukunoor has undergone a role-reversal at the ongoing 10th Osian’s-Cinefan Film Festival by being a judge at the 11-day gala here, but the Indian actor-filmmaker does not like his films to be “judged by others”.

So we hear the ’Hyderabad Blues’ filmaker hates being judeged by others which surprises me hell lot. All along I have appreciated his movie to the extent where I have done rounds of either the theater hall or the CD shop, just to make sure I am not left out as a movie buff of his movie. Well, being his avid fan I would rather suggest him to get ready to put his work under the scanner and accept the comments of his critics head on !

Nobody likes their work to be judged... I’m just glad Nagesh has the balls to come out and say it on record...
its much refreshing to hear this than having to bear fake smiles and fake modesty from other filmmakers who say they dont care about others’ opinion...
I love the simplicity in Nagesh’s works and I’m loving his honesty here too!!

These are really honest comments and, you have rightly pointed out, Kukunoor has guts to proclaim his unease if someone/critics judge his creations.
It takes a hell lot out of you to be open for criticism in criticizing it.
